| The Committee of EL is considering about changing the beginning of EL (rule 4.2)and admin date (=hour) (rule 6.9) and therefore we would like to ask all the captains (or their substitutes) about that.
1. The beginning of EL 2012/13 would be the 1st Monday in October. We have noticed that some teams in the last rounds not play with 4 players. Maybe the reason is tiredness. We can make a break of 1-2 weeks (maybe after 5th or 6th round). We would have also enough time to organize an exhibition “all stars match” after the end of season if the players want to play such match. Q1: Do you agree that the beginning of EL 2012/13 is the 1st Monday in October? a) Yes b) No 2. Admin date (=hour) would be depend on the time zones of the teams. Most matches are played in the afternoons or evenings, while the admin hour is earlier. The teams would be divided into 3 groups a) group A - the teams in the time zone UTC+1 (Warsaw time, CET, Kurnik time); b) group B – the teams in the time zone UTC+4 (Moscow time); c) group C – a team in the time zone UTC+6 (Tyumen time) ). Suppose that most teams want to play at 19:00, local time. In the case that a team from group C plays with a team from group A or B, the admin hour would be the local time 19:00 of the team from group C (UTC+6 = 19:00 (Tyumen) = UTC+4 = 17:00 (Moscow) = 14:00 (Warsaw, CET, Kurnik time). If a team from group B plays with a team from group A, the admin hour would be the local time 19:00 of a team from group B - 19:00 (Moscow) = 16:00 (Warsaw). If both teams are from group B, the admin hour is 19:00 Moscow time = 16:00 Warsaw time. If both teams are from group A they would play at 19:00 (Warsaw time). If one team has the players from different time zones, their captain will decide about the group during the 1st round of next EL. Q2: Do you agree with such change? a) Yes. My team would like to play at ..... ,local time, that means at ..... ,Warsaw time. b) No, the admin hour should be at 10.00, Warsaw time. The Committee will take into account your answers and announce the final decision asap. | |
